The Pitch

I've come to realise that it's hard to have an original thought these days and those i do have all sort of run along the same path and follow the same trends. More so I think that perhaps adaptation may be the way forward with films like Adaptation showing us that adaptations don't necessarily need to follow the source material only draw inspiration from it.

With this knowledge I set forward with the single thought that if I were to adapt something but use it as inspiration well how about a poem, and after a quick look in the fantastic magazine popshot I think that i have found it!

Warrior King, by Joshua Seigal

I'm the warrior-king of the garden
I'm a revolutionary
with my gun and my axe and my telescope
And my lookout in the tree

I'm the warrior-king of the garden
I'm a soldier, a fighter, a winner
I don't take orders from anybody
Until mum calls me in for dinner

This poem being a good excuse in my mind to expand on an old friend of mine with a twist, the details of which are coming later but for now I leave you with Vincent Flyte's first outing in stop-motion action hero.
